Humanitarian
"It all just ... it just goes against everything I am ... was ... am trying to do! One bite and I'm 180 degrees away from what I used to be!" Hunter lamented (true anguish in his eyes). "I was a vegetarian before the change, too," Sawyer said, reaching forward to place a hand on his friend's shoulder. "I get it. But you are not in control when you change and that's not higher mind stuff; it's like ... living for a short time in altered space." "I know, it's just ... ," Hunter slumped forward and hung his head low, " ... who am I now? WHAT am I now? Man or wolf?" "You're Hunter," Sawyer responded gently. "You're a humanitarian." Hunter raised his head. "You're right. I'm still an advocate and an activist; I'm still a believer in fighting for justice and equality." "That," Sawyer whispered with a glint in his eye, "and 'vegetarian' and 'pescatarian' no longer really apply." He chuckled and Hunter's eyes narrowed to slits.
