"The pandemic hasn't changed my life much, truthfully," he said, smiling into his laptop camera. "I don't leave the house much and, if I do, it's a strategic dash that wraps up in the least amount of time." "Are you agoraphobic?" someone asked. "Oh, no," he responded with a chuckle, "not in the least. I'm a writer; I don't get anxious, I just get all murdery." There was silence. "Seriously," he added, sipping his wine, "once I'm home and re-sanitized, I can get 3 or 4 bitter ends out of a trip to the market - maybe a plot twist or wild spot of lethal debauchery if I've also stopped at the liquor store." They were still silent, but a couple of people nodded like they understood.
