Postcard

Tara opened the mailbox and squealed with glee to find a postcard. Not waiting one moment more, she spun it 'round in her hand to start reading. "A postcard?" someone else at the boxes observed. "Wow, that's almost ... quaint! Nice to be remembered, though." Tara grinned from ear to ear, nodding, and went back to reading (the familiar handwriting was ridiculously small). Her doppelganger was off on another adventure, living life impossibly to the full, but was kind as anything - and always made sure that Tara never forgot herself.
