Before 7am, the precinct had called to ask for an evaluation; seems they'd arrested a young pickpocket at the airport who gave his full name as "Dodger, Artful" and seemed thrilled to find his holding cell heated. By 11am, Jackie had received research requests on two individuals - one Philip Pirrip (or "Pip"), who had applied for two local machinist positions but could produce no identification, and one "Doctor" Alexandre Manette who'd offered his help at a suburban urgent care but, although his diagnoses and recommendations were brilliant, he was unkempt and unable to look anyone in the eye. "What in the Dickens ...?" Jackie mumbled to herself. "Pun intended." Throughout the day, she took all of the interviews and, one by one, disproved that they were some kind of theatrical flash mob stunt. By dinnertime, she wondered who else was stepping out of anyone's pages (left and right). By midnight, exhausted and overwhelmed, Jackie allowed herself a weak moment of wishing for Mr. Darcy. Her phone continued to buzz throughout the night.
