Letters

The envelopes displayed a return address of the person's city, state, and zip code, and the letters themselves (also written by hand) contained only the simple message of, "If this were a love letter, what would you do next? Do it." The first of the three recipients tore it in half and threw it into the trash as something ridiculous and time-wasting; the second took a picture and posted it to social media as weird and funny; the third held it close to their heart for a moment and then went into the kitchen to set a second mug on the counter (in case their love desired coffee or tea whenever they arrived). And The Fates were pleased, watching carefully, clinging to each other and whispering, "So be it.”
