Trees

Trees

The "cut your own" tree field was magnificent; they went from row to row marveling at the sizes and shapes - the extraordinary fullness and beauty of every single one. In the end, they simply took a lot of pictures and let the trees be, driving home empty-handed. "I swear that the Frasier fur - that one on the end - hugged me back when I put my arms around it!" Chester stared out of the window as they drove away, half expecting the tree to wave. Watching them go, the ent wished them peace and good will and, to the trees, told them stories of the season that deepened their quiet and warmed them with love.
