The Ghost of Christmas Future was an assigned gig; the robe was one size fits all and everyone could expect to take a turn. When the GoCF showed up in Hoot Owl, Oklahoma, ready to gesture menacingly for a bit at Kaycee Shivek, it saw the posters, the vinyl collection, the hair and clothing that bore all of the marks of Otherness that it, itself, had worn in life, it was moved beyond measure and mumbled something like, "This silence business is bugger all." Kaycee gasped and her eyes filled with tears. "Hold up. HOLD UP. Are you ... are you ...? Wait ... are you KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?" And the Ghost of Christmas Future was not at all kidding, and not without compassion for a kid trying to grow hard edges just to survive, so it dropped the robe and they had a moment, where Kaycee and David listened to music and he gave her some advice on getting in touch with and staying true to her inner Starman.
